Australian Criminal suspect finds hiding place in a ship’s air vent

A 31 year old man who has been charged of sexual assault in Sydney allegedly tried to flee Australia on a yacht has been caught by the cops in the air vent of a ship.

Police said the accused, who was on a yacht was rescued by a cargo ship on Saturday who was believed to have been set a sail from New South Wales. After rescuing, when the Malaysia bound vessel anchored at New South Wales, the man disappeared.

The suspicion of the crew members was sparked when a yacht which was attached to the vessel via a tow line was also missing. Throughout Saturday and Sunday the police had been searching for the man outside the vessel.

On Monday the man was found hiding in the air conditioning vent when the cops had employed an extensive dog search in the vessel. The criminal was in possession of a knife and $3050 as reported by the police. The fugitive has been charged for the crime of breaching bail conditions.

The police also reported that the man who attempted to sail east across the pacific, was hit by the waves which he was lacking the experience to tackle, took help from the passing cargo vessel.
